Why Do You Need to Replace Your Teeth?
There are many reasons why you need to replace any of your teeth that are missing. This includes:
Preserve your facial symmetry. Losing teeth and getting a smile that’s not as bright is never fun, but it can be done in ways to make sure you’re still looking great!
Stop your teeth from moving. When you lose teeth, they shift into place to fill the gap. This can cause some problems for future smiles!
Keep your jaw healthy. You can’t have teeth without a jawbone. The two are in constant contact, and it is this connection that helps keep your implant strong as well!
How Many Teeth Can Be Replaced?
There are a lot of ways to replace multiple teeth at once. Usually, you will need one implant for every two or three missing molars and may benefit from having your dentist place bridges while they work on the area because it gives him more material with which do procedures like tooth transplants (to restore what was lost).
We can do implants one tooth at a time or we will put in some temporary teeth and then move on to the permanent ones. It all depends on your situation!
What Does the Procedure Entail?
Implants are placed in steps.
- Here’s how it goes. You get the implants put into your jaw, like screws really! Your body needs time to heal and grow around these so they bond securely with bone before you can have something else adjusted in its place – like a temporary tooth for protection while all this happens.
- The implants will be revealed and attached to extensions. It’s like getting a new set of teeth!
We are going to put your permanent replacement teeth on top of the extensions, and you’ll be able chew like before!
